From Andrew Courtney:
Please enjoy the 46 photographs that will be exhibited January 2024 at the Ossining Public Library gallery.
There is much attention to remote work, to the potential of the four day work week. To the Zoom workplace.
This overlooks those workers, performers, artisans whose work continues to be “by hand” at any day of the week.
All the exhibited portraits are of people from the wider Hudson Valley whose hands are their primary work and pleasure tool. Many came to me by word of mouth . All work on this project was done in 2023.
You will see a portrait of a member of the WESPAC family exhibited.
The exhibit reception on January 6 will begin with my 13 minute film and then the gallery exhibit of 46 portraits.
The musician on my sound track is a Paraguayan harpist and will play in the gallery.
