From Justice is Global:
People in the United States, in China, and around the world are facing an urgent threat: climate change. Yet, as policy discourse consolidates around the inevitability of a “Cold War” with China, opportunities for the global climate cooperation we need are threatened.
Conflict escalation is diverting the resources we need for climate transition into conflict, and war between China and the U.S. would have devastating environmental impacts. By working together on shared challenges like climate change, we can gradually build a more stable relationship.
This is why it is so important for us to come together, to change our narratives and actions.
