County Executive Rob Astorino is proposing some drastic cuts in funding to non-profits in his 2016 budget. The public is strongly encouraged to attend a public hearing on the budget and to let our elected officials know how we feel about these cuts. The Greenburgh Nature Center is on the list of groups to receive significant funding cuts. Affordable housing in the county will also be impacted due to cuts in positions for County Planners which will impact all the municipalities. My Sister’s Place which also provides assistance to victims of domestic violence will be impacted.
