Via Kenneth Chamberlain Junior:
I’m reaching out on behalf of Shatirra Lee, a Health Educator with the Urban League of Westchester. She and I were having a conversation about the pressing issue of opioid overdoses and community safety, Shatirra expressed a valuable initiative. She is offering Narcan Training for WCPR and affiliated organizations.
Given my longstanding association with the Urban League of Westchester, spanning over 12 years of employment and ongoing volunteer work, I believe this training could significantly benefit us. Shatirra proposes the idea of a collaborative effort to host a Narcan training workshop, which could be conducted either in person or via Zoom.
The workshop aims to educate participants on crucial aspects, including recognizing signs of opioid overdose, administering Narcan effectively, and providing guidance on responding to overdose situations. This initiative is a proactive step towards enhancing our community’s preparedness and safety.
If you are interested, please reach out to Shatirra at [email protected] or contact the Urban League at (914) 697-8390. Your participation in this initiative can make a meaningful impact, and I appreciate your consideration.
