Hello, all!
From Vanessa Agudelo at Westchester Alliance for Sustainable Solutions (WASS):
WASS would like to cordially invite you to join us for NYS DEC’s Lower Hudson Valley’s Clean Water, Clean Air and Green Jobs Environmental Bond Act educational listening tour taking place August 15th from 1-3pm at the Westchester County Center in White Plains. This is a great opportunity for Westchester residents to advocate for funding of projects that will allow our municipalities to swiftly move towards Zero Waste.
Implementation of the $4.2 Billion Clean Water, Clean Air, and Green Jobs Environmental Bond Act will begin this year. The purpose of these listening sessions are to provide an opportunity for the public and potential funding applicants to learn more about the Bond Act, and for the community to weigh in on the draft eligibility guidelines being developed to identify potential projects. Join WASS at the Westchester Listening Tour to engage with New York State experts, learn about the types of projects the Bond Act will fund and advocate for funding to be provided to move Westchester County towards Zero Waste. You can register for the listening tour here.
Please let us know if you can join us and we will be sure to follow up with resources and to coordinate the day of. Feel free to reach with any questions or concerns. At [email protected]
