Environmentalists To Call on Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart Cousins To Pass Two Key Plastic Reduction Bills in the Final Days of the Legislative Session, Will Deliver Petition With Over 18k Names to Senator Stewart-Cousins
Environmental groups will hold a news conference to call on Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart Cousins to support two key plastic reduction bills that are pending in Albany. The State Legislature is scheduled to conclude its legislative session next week and environmentalists are working overtime to pass The Packaging Reduction and Recycling Act, S4246/A5322, introduced by Senator Pete Harkham of Lewisboro and Assemblymember Deborah Glick. The groups are also working to pass the Bigger Better Bottle Bill, S237/A6353, introduced by Senator Rachel May and Assemblymember Glick.
