Westchester for Change is a member of the Let NY Vote coalition. Let NY Vote and Common Cause NY are sponsoring a series of actions to get the For the People Act (HR1/S1) passed in the US Congress. For the People Act provides for federal mandates to require voter access, redistricting of Congressional districts by commission and common sense campaign finance laws. The bill has passed the House. In the Senate, Mitch McConnell has indicated that the Republicans will filibuster it. This legislation can only be passed by reforming the filibuster.
