Dear Community Partners,

Have you made plans yet for Friday, January 13, 2017?

We invite you to Wear Your Colors, Bring Your Banners and MARCH with the members of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Westchester Alumnae Chapter as we Re-Enact the Women’s Suffrage March,  Celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Women’s Right to VOTE in New York State and our 104th Birthday!!!

The event will begin at the Thomas Slater Center, 2 Fisher Court in White Plains at 4:30 p.m. where we will register new voters.  Then, at 5:00 p.m., we will depart from the Slater Center and MARCH over to the Martin Luther King, Jr. Statue in front of the County Courthouse Building on MLK Boulevard.  (approx. one-half block).   Deltas participated in their first social action event in 1913 when they marched in the 4th Annual Women’s Suffrage March in Washington, DC.  We will hear brief remarks from our invited guests and Westchester Alumnae Chapter President, Danielle Henry.
