Meanwhile Kathy Hochul is set to roll back NYS carbon targets signed into law in 2019. The Climate Leadership & Community Protection Act of mandated carbon targets for NY State. The 2023 NY Build Public Renewables Act made it possible to bypass for-profit energy companies so that we can meet them. WE ALREADY HAVE THE LEGISLATION WE NEED TO MEET OUR CARBON TARGETS Kathy Hochul insists that private energy companies will take the lead in developing renewable energy production to meet our carbon targets. She also recently admitted that NYS WILL FAIL TO MEET THOSE TARGETS.
