This a call for support and outreach. Parents and children in the East Ramapo (ER) School district need our support. The crisis in their schools – a hostile school board, more than 10 years of austerity budgets, racial discrimination, and buildings declared unsafe and with lead in the water – is on the agenda. We hope you can show your support for ER parents and children at their parent-led forum on Saturday February 24, 11:00 am-1:00 pm at the Spring Valley Salvation Army Community Center. At you can see from the attached flyers for the event, this is about grassroots organizing by the parents and community themselves. We are showing up to show support. If you think you can make it, please RSVP to this email so we can get an idea of turnout. If you are interested in helping with set up, clean up or contributing food, please contact Nancy ([email protected]). ... See MoreSee Less
