Our wonderful colleagues at Sierra Club – Atlantic Chapter have simplified an important opportunity for you to submit comments to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) regarding the proposed Spectra Algonquin Incremental Market (AIM) project which involves a major expansion of polluting and dangerous natural gas infrastructure including a large diameter, high pressure pipeline and greatly expanded metering stations and compressor stations. The expansion route runs through Rockland, Westchester and Putnam Counties, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachussetts. Part of the proposed large diameter, high pressure pipeline intersects with a proposed high voltage power line in close proximity to Indian Point nuclear power plant’s spent fuel rods and the Stamford and Ramapo faults.
You’ll find a few brief comment points at the link below which will help you easily navigate the FERC comment
process. Please take a moment to tell FERC why this hazardous and ill advised proposal should be rejected.
