Mapleton Conference Center at Good Counsel
52 North Broadway, White Plains
6-7pm potluck – bring a dish to share
Program starts at 7pm.  Public is invited.
Our agenda:

We will all be gathering again next week at the Mapleton Conference Center in Good Counsel to check in and keep everyone up-to-date with all that has been going on.  Come and re-connect with old friends and meet new ones.  We will have two guests from out-of-town who will be speaking about next steps for the Two Row Wampum:
Emily Bishop is a steering committee member and organizer with the Two Row Wampum Renewal Campaign. After working with indigenous people affected by oil development in Ecuador for her senior project at Purchase College, she decided to return home to Syracuse and work as an Ally with the Onondaga Nation on the issue of hydrofracking. She is also the Syracuse  Regional Organizer with New Yorkers Against Fracking.

Also joining us is Marissa Corwin (Seneca) who works in the Education Department at the National Museum of the American Indian in New York City and was the Project Coordinator for the NYC Two Row Wampum Festival which took place on August 10, 2013.

Local friend Cameron Kelly paddled for the whole two weeks with the delegation and will briefly share with us her experience.  Susan Van Dolsen will report on next steps in the fight against fracking, Susan Rubin on plans for a local Keystone Pipeline action, Nick Mottern on the presence of Know Drones in NYC the week of Sept. 23rd and Jeanne Shaw on the IPSEC – Nowhere to Run day of action Sept. 28th.  We will also give a brief update on local Syria actions and WESPAC Middle East Committee upcoming events.  Please let me know if you are willing to help with making phone calls to WESPAC members to make sure that this is on everyone’s calendar!
SAVE THE DATE!
