A group of students and supporters from Westchester are planning to attend the National Dream Act Graduation mobilization in Washington DC on next Tuesday, June 26.

The organizers are seeking individual or organizational donations to help write down the cost of the bus trip to DC for the participating students, so more students can afford to participate.  The bus will hold 56 people and costs approximately $2200.

Would you please consider making a gift to WESPAC Foundation in support of the Westchester Dream Act bus?   We’re hoping to raise $1,000 or more.   You can make your check payable to WESPAC Foundation, and put “Dream Bus” in the memo on your check.

We have one definite gift of $250 at this point and another possible $300.  .

Please let us know if you are contributing right away so we know how much we can count on.

If you have any questions, please call Chuck Bell at (914) 830-0639.

The purpose of the National Dream Act Mobilization to call attention to the situation of undocumented youth graduating from high school, and the need for comprehensive immigration reform.   The proposed American Dream Act would provide legal status to undocumented immigrants who came to the United States as children, provided they meet certain strict conditions.

If you are interested in going on the bus, you can call Mayte Garcia in Ossining at (914) 860-5730, to see if there is additional space.
