Thanks to all your phone calls, emails and letters, today New York State Assembly passed bill number A 7400 to suspend the issuance of new permits for hydrofracking in New York State until June 1, 2012.
To protect the health of people in New York State and our water, air, and land, it is critical that New York State Senate supports the Assembly bill and passes the same bill S 5592 in the Senate. We need you to take action urgently. Please pick up the phone and
• Call Senate Majority Leader Dean Skelos

and email Leader Skelos at firstname.lastname@example.org
and tell him to bring the hydrofracking moratorium bill S 5592 to the Senate floor for a vote and pass this bill.
• Call your own Senator find at www.nysenate.gov
and email your Senator, and tell your Senator to urge Leader Skelos to bring the hydrofracking moratorium bill S 5592 to the Senate floor for a vote and then vote yes to pass this bill.

Hydrofracking should not be allowed in New York State until we have all the facts and the science to understand how drilling affect our health, water, air and the environment.
