Peacebuilding Training and Education for SAARC Emerging Leaders

The Conflict Transformation across Cultures Programs, known as CONTACT, is currently accepting applications for our second peacebuilding course in Kathmandu. CONTACT has offered world-class training programs in the US for 14 years, and has led 5 similar programs in Africa.
Selection Criteria: Forty to fifty participants will be selected by application, based on their position, work experience, educational background, English skills, reference, and geographic location. Internationals who live and work in SAARC are also invited to apply. SAARC countries are: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. About the Program: CONTACT is a short-term, concentrated, and intense educational immersion program for rising leaders from around the world who are engaged in responding to conflict, promoting social change, and building sustainable peace. CONTACT offers professional development programs and a graduate certificate program in conflict transformation, leading to a Master’s Degree at the SIT Graduate Institute. With more than 1000 graduates spanning the globe, CONTACT is of proven effectiveness in educating for peace leadership, conflict-sensitive development, and transformative intercultural exchange.

Program Fees: $1500 –to include tuition, room and board, and airport transportation on the designated arrival and departure days. Participants are responsible for their own transportation, visa fees, and personal expenses.
