A candlelight vigil is set for Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at 5:30 pm in the downtown public park in Highland Falls NY at the intersection of Main Street (Route 218) and West Point Highway, just south of West PointÕs Thayer Gate, to protest the escalation of the war in Afghanistan is to be announced that night at West Point at 8 p.m. by President Barack Obama.
Please bring candles and flashlights (in case of wind or rain). We want to create an ocean of light in Highland Falls. Speaking will begin at 7 p.m.; speakers will be announced.
