Meanwhile Kathy Hochul is set to roll back NYS carbon targets signed into law in 2019. The Climate Leadership & Community Protection Act of mandated carbon targets for NY State. The 2023 NY Build Public Renewables Act made it possible to bypass for-profit energy companies so that we can meet them. WE ALREADY HAVE THE LEGISLATION WE NEED TO MEET OUR CARBON TARGETS Kathy Hochul insists that private energy companies will take the lead in developing renewable energy production to meet our carbon targets. She also recently admitted that NYS WILL FAIL TO MEET THOSE TARGETS. Layla AlShekh: joined the Parents Circle in 2016, over a decade after a military checkpoint led to her son's death. Since his death, Layla has devoted her time and energy to ensuring a better, more peaceful future for her children.Arab Aramin: In 2007, his sister Abir was shot and killed in front of her school by an Israeli border police officer.
