Youth Action Training for Westchester Teens

April 22, 2016 @ 9:00 am - April 24, 2016 @ 5:00 pm

Are you, or do you know, a high school student who wants to learn about (or learn more about) social and political issues affecting teens- and what you can do about them?

Then you should apply for the Westchester County Youth Council’s (WCYC) Youth Action Training from April 22nd-24th in White Plains! Totally free and youth led, topics include feminism and bullying; addressing homophobia in schools; sex and sexuality; food justice and environmental racism; and using volunteering, research, activism and advocacy to create social change. This is a great opportunity to meet kids from all over Westchester who are leaders and like-minded, to get more than 15 community service hours, and to build resume and leadership skills.

Visit our website for more info and all of our forms, or apply online by clicking here.

Please spread the word to your teen networks.

For more information, feel free to contact WCYC director Marisa Ragonese.
