Out next meeting is on May 14th at 7PM at the WESPAC Office, 77 Tarrytown Rd., White Plains NY 106076
We are reading a historical novel, Manhattan Beach, by Jennifer Egan. This book will allow us to shift our focus, at least temporarily from the currrent political situation.
Commentators have described the book as as ” mesmerizing, hauntingly beautiful, with the pace and atmosphere of a noir thriller and a wealth of detail about organized crime, the merchant marine, and the clash of classes in New York, Egan’s first historical novel is a masterpiece, a deft, startling, intimate exploration of a transformative moment in the lives of women and men, America, and the world. Manhattan Beach is a magnificent novel by one of the greatest writers of our time.”
You welcome even if you have not come for some time! Please let me know if you plan to attend.
