The Crisis in Yemen

February 4, 2021 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Yemen is the site of the world’s worst humanitarian crisis. Indiscriminate bombing of civilian targets, as well as the blockading of Yemeni ports– committed with U.S. weapons and logistical support by the Saudi and UAE led coaltion – have resulted in widespread famine.

While the situation on the ground in Yemen is bleak, there is reason for hope. The new Congress and the Biden administration have a great opportunity to end our complicity in this war and promote peace.

That’s why I want to invite you to join me for an exclusive film screening and discussion on Feb. 4 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. EST.

FCNL has teamed up with Spin Film for a special screening of Hunger Ward—a powerful, new documentary that provides an unflinching look at the human-caused famine in Yemen. Against the backdrop of a forgotten war, Hunger Ward  follows health care workers Dr. Aida Asladeeq and nurse Mekkia Mahdi as they work to save the lives of children in two feeding centers.

Following the screening, we will hear from a panel of experts—including Hassan El-Tayyab, FCNL’s lead lobbyist on Middle East policy—on the latest developments in this crisis and efforts to end U.S. involvement in the horrific Yemen war.

There is no cost to attend! I hope you will join me.

Diane Randall

In peace,

Diane Randall

General Secretary
