Join moderator Jeffrey Deskovic, M.A., who served 16 years prior to being exonerated by DNA; for a panel discussion on the role of prosecutorial misconduct in wrongful convictions and false accusations, that will feature Westchester County Exoneree Kian Khatibi, Esq., who served 9 ½ years for assault with a deadly weapon; Bill Bastuk Founder and Chair of It Could Happen To You and former Monroe County Legislator, who was wrongfully prosecuted for rape in Monroe County, NY before being acquitted in one hour; and veteran NYC Criminal Defense Attorney Marvin Schechter, who serves on the Executive Committee of the New York State Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
