Coalition to Prevent Westchester Airport Expansion

The Coalition to Prevent Westchester Airport Expansion encourages our supporters to attend the upcoming June meeting of  the Westchester County Airport Advisory Board. County AAB meetings are open to the public and it matters who the county sees showing up.

Unlike previous AAB meetings, this one will take place away from the airport at Rye Brook Village Hall, which can accommodate more members of the public.  The meeting will be next Wednesday, June 26th, at 7 PM at 938 King St in Rye Brook, NY 10573.

This meeting is a perfect opportunity heading into the summer to remind the County that residents remain concerned about airport issues and need to be considered in decision making.  

The agenda includes important topics like a proposal to raise aircraft landing fees, revising the airport’s Master Plan, the scope of a new noise study commissioned by the County, and how the county is responding to airport groundwater contamination that could threaten the Kensico Reservoir, which is next to the airport.

While time for public comments will be limited, just showing up and signing in will have a positive impact.  Please forward this on to your friends and neighbors so we can be assured of a good showing.
