6/15 Green, a community garden located at 6th Avenue and 15th Street in Park Slope, will hold its annual Harvest Fair on Saturday, October 1, 2016, starting at 11:00 a.m. and running until dusk. The rain date is Sunday, October 2. Admission is free, and the event is open to the public. The garden’s bake sale will run from 11 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., and the community Pot Luck starts at 3:00.

Our Plant Sale will take place on October 1 and 2, from11 to 4. Heirloom and regular vegetable plants, flowers and divisions of unique plants from the garden will be available for garden beds, planters and pots. Fall favorites including unusual perennials, hardy herbs and beautiful gourds and pumpkins will also be available. All sales help cover the expenses of maintaining the garden as a vibrant urban green space.

Festival highlights will include live music (performers and schedule to be announced), compost demonstrations, face painting, games for children, community Pot Luck and the Open Space Gallery which features photos by local artists.

This event helps the garden fulfill its mission to provide cultural and educational activities in this welcoming community space. The public, neighbors and friends are encouraged to visit this permanent neighborhood garden and enjoy an oasis in the midst of the City’s hubbub.

6/15 Green is a 501 ( c ) 3 organization, and contributions are tax-deductible. Donations are welcome!
