JOB POSTINGe Job Description: Bilingual Victim Advocate has primary responsibility for the provision of direct services to victims of crime. Services include: assistance in applying for victim compensation; court accompaniment; supportive counseling; safety planning; assistance locating shelters; advocacy with multiple service providers to maximize the clients resources and capacity to heal. Candidate should be interested in being a part of a cohesive team, receiving regular supervision and should be capable of collaborating both within and outside of the agency. Specific Education, Certification and Skill Requirements (if applicable): Bilingual (Spanish-English) , highly motivated, self-starter with strong commitment to advocating for the rights of victims of crime. Background in social justice, criminal justice, women's issues, and/ or counseling. BA preferred. Computer literate; licensed driver and car owner.
