At the Middle East Cte meeting yesterday it was decided that I would send a note out to the WESPAC list asking for a volunteer to coordinate a clothing, blanket and toy drive for Palestinians living in Gaza. This position entails coordinating the delivery of the donations (donations need to be in very good condition, preferably new clothes and labeled for age and gender in separate bags), sending thank you notes to all who participate and finding people who will be willing to drive the goods to Wayne, NJ, before March 25th, 2009. The Arab American Medical Association has purchased a container and will be sending the supplies to Gaza in early April.
