White Plains Kick Off Meeting Against Fracking

September 17, 2014 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

New Yorkers Against Fracking is launching in Westchester County to tell Governor Cuomo that fracking is too dirty and dangerous for New York State. We believe that access to clean drinking water is a basic human right and the only way to protect New Yorkers from these serious health risks is to ban the practice.

We’re organizing a ton of exciting events this fall, but right now we need more voices! And we want you, Tracy, to come to our Kick-Off meeting this week! It will be this Wednesday, September 17th @ 7pm at the Mapleton Conference Center at 52 North Broadway in White Plains! Can you make it?

Tracy, the more people we have, the louder our message becomes. Can you pledge to bring a friend? We need every voice advocating for our families’ health.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me back at [email protected] or call my cell: 201-572-0881. Feel free to forward the announcement (below) to anyone!

We’ll see you Wednesday @ 7:00!

Jack

New Yorkers Against Fracking: Kick-Off Meeting!

WHERE: Mapleton Conference Center, 52 North Broadway, White Plains

WHEN: Wednesday, September 17th, @ 7:00pm

Fracking is a dirty and dangerous process for extracting oil and gas from the earth. It threatens our rivers, streams and our drinking water with toxic chemicals. Leading up to this election, Governor Cuomo could decide any day that fracking can take place in New York.

This decision would have disastrous effects on our rivers and drinking water, as well as adding tons of harmful methane gas to the atmosphere, intensifying climate change. Governor Cuomo needs to hear from his constituents in Westchester County that fracking is too dirty and dangerous for New York.

New Yorkers Against Fracking is launching in Westchester County on September 17th. You can protect our drinking water and our public health! Come to our kick off meeting to find out how!

Come join other concerned residents and local organizations to find out how to stop fracking in New York State! To learn more about how to get involved before the meeting, please contact Jack Miller at [email protected] or call his cell, 201-572-0881.

See you there!
