We Have Still Not Been Moved will take aim at white supremacy, the war machine, police brutality, border violence, and the costs that communities of color that continue to endure in the struggle against racism and militarism. From Gaza to Ferguson, violence deepens and spreads when governments and police deploy their capacity to control and kill. Resisting borders, Palestinians used social media to share tips for Ferguson residents facing tear gas in the streets of their community. Resisting racism, a growing movement against police militarization is recognizing links between empire, the continual imprisonment of radicals in the 1960s to today, and the routine violence of policing in communities across the United States. Come learn about these movements plus practical steps and joyful leaps toward winning a future without oppression and war by eliminating its root causes through education, organizing, strategy, and direct action. Join dequi kioni-sadiki, Nada Khader, Ali Issa, Matt Meyer, and Joel Kovel to examine the strategic possibilities of radical and revolutionary transformation to move toward lasting social change.
